Kenya Birding Holiday

Kenya has one of the richest avifauna in Africa with around 1090 bird species recorded. At least eight of these are national endemics. Around 170 species of Kenya’s birds species are Pale arctic migrants (11 species of them with a local breeding population too), mainly from Eastern Europe, Russia, the Middle East and Siberia. Another 60 species migrate regularly within the Afro tropics or from Madagascar. Some 335 species are found in forest; 230 species are entirely forest dependent and 110 species are “forest specialists” requiring intact, undisturbed habitat and forty species of global conservation concern are known to occur in Kenya.

Africa Birding Vacation

8 Kenya Birding Vacation includes Kenya’s most famous and photographically productive bird reserves. This is one of our most popular itineraries among our birding tours in Kenya. Late November and early December are fantastic months in Kenya as the reserves are quieter with fewer tourists. It is also the season when a lot of migrant birds return to Kenya so the already impressive local bird count is boosted even further.

The aim of this Birding Safari, is to gather an impressive collection of photographs that show the diversity of Kenya’s Birdlife. Your English-speaking professional guides will also be there to make sure you make the best of your time in Kenya. Wait no more and get ready for a birding safari of a lifetime!
